Good News!

Thanks to all the parental displeasure and several calls to the principal, my daughter's first grade teacher officially resigned on Friday. She is no longer teaching in our school.

This morning Tiny was so excited to go to school that she was up and dressed without any prodding from me. She was sure to put on her new necklace and bracelet that Grandma and Grandpa brought her from Hawaii and wear them proudly (her teacher wouldn't allow the children to wear any jewelry to school). Tiny made the comment, "I can now, because [my teacher] is gone!" She was beaming.

So, it's true that the squeaky wheel gets the grease. The classroom should run much smoother and the children should enjoy learning again. I can't wait to hear all about her day when she gets home.

Woohoo!!
