This morning my youngest was difficult to rouse from bed. She has been nursing a cough for the past week and it must have finally caught up to her.
She was super whiney and difficult so I asked her if she was feeling sick. With her best puppy-dog face she nods yes, so I sent her off to bed again. The morning was spent in jammies watching television and playing her sister's Game Boy.
At lunchtime she comes to me and says, "Mommy, I'm not sick, I just didn't want to do something at school that would be really hard, but I don't remember what it was going to be..."
The kid is in Kindergarten. Give me a break! They aren't supposed to learn this stuff until they are at least in 3rd grade, right?
And, so it begins again.....
