25 Years

It was in 1981 that Luke and Laura tied the knot on General Hospital. I wasn't an active watcher back then, but my mom was, and I can still remember the buzz surrounding the blessed nuptials.

And, here it is 2006 and the infamous couple are celebrating their 25th Anniversary. I have been an avid GH'er for more than 15 years... the type of viewer that taped the show when I wouldn't be able to be home, planning my schedule around the show, and talking about the characters with other GH'ers as though they were real people. I would never admit it in the open, but I actually talk to the screen now and then when I feel that the show isn't going my way... I'm hooked, what can I say?

So, with such an important event occuring on my show today, you can bet I'll be sitting on my favorite spot on the couch, with a cold coke in hand, as I sit transfixed watching the return of Laura and the celebration that is sure to follow. I can hardly wait!
